Experience & background

Balkar was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from the Foundations for the Future Charter Academy.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary in 2016.

Balkar later attended the University of Leicester in England, earning his Bachelor of Laws with 2:1 Honours in 2018.

He completed a Master of Laws specializing in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School and received his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation.

FIRM DEVELOPMENT

Balkar began working with David Yanko in 2020 and completed his articles under the supervision of Herman Sidhu.

After being admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2021, he continued with the firm as a personal injury lawyer.

Balkar’s personal and professional roots are firmly established in Calgary.

Outside his legal practice, he enjoys playing sports, spending time with his family, and volunteering in the community.
