Experience & background

Herman was born in Calgary, spent part of his childhood in Elkford, British Columbia, and later graduated from Rundle College Senior High School.

He earned his law degree from the University of Leicester in England and received his Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation.

Herman began articling with David Yanko in May 2012 and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2013.

Herman has mentored six articling students, passing forward the professional skills and values that shape his own practice.

His leadership reflects the principles of integrity, professionalism, and service he learned from longtime mentor David Yanko.

Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, Herman is also a proud father of three daughters whom he is raising in the Calgary community.
