Experience & background

Brad graduated from law school in 1996 before beginning an internship with the United Nations International Trade Law Branch in Vienna.

His work focused on international electronic commerce, cross-border insolvencies, and privately financed international infrastructure projects.

He later worked with the United Nations Centre for International Crime Prevention and the United Nations Development Programme on a criminal justice project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After returning to Alberta in 2000, Brad articled under David Yanko and practised criminal law and personal injury litigation.

Leadership & legacy

In 2003, Brad Popovic and David Yanko opened the firm and continued developing its legal practice in Calgary.

His international justice work and Alberta litigation experience bring a broad perspective to complex legal matters and client representation.

Recognition

Brad Popovic serves as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Paraguay for Alberta, helping foster bilateral relations between Alberta and Paraguay.
