Experience & background
Roger earned his law degree from Dalhousie University and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2018.
He also completed a Certificate in Management and Leadership for Lawyers at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.
Before law school, Roger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Calgary.
His education combines civil litigation training with additional study in legal management and leadership.
COMMUNITY & SERVICE
During law school, Roger volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, assisting recent immigrants and refugees at an immigrant services centre in Halifax.
Before entering law, he worked as an Educational Child and Youth Care Counselor at William Roper Hull School in Calgary.
Roger has also volunteered with the Calgary Drop-In Centre, CJSW 90.9 FM, and the BikeRoot Bicycle Cooperative.
RECOGNITION & MEMBERSHIPS
Roger’s academic recognition includes the Schulich School of Law Entrance Scholarship, Alistair Fraser Scholarship, Elizabeth Ellis Award, and D.S. and F.L. Coombes Award in Law.
He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, Canadian Bar Association, and Calgary Bar Association.
